Focal Area Maps

The following five landscapes have been identified as having the greatest number of non-breeding use-days at NAWMP Goal levels within the IWJV: the Klamath Basin Refuge Complex, the Southern Oregon and Northeastern California (SONEC) region, Columbia Basin, Great Salt Lake and San Luis Rio Grande Valleys. The SONEC region and Great Salt Lake are continentally significant for spring and fall migrants, respectively, and constitute two of the most important waterfowl staging areas in North America.
