IWJV Management Board members share a common passion for avian resources and habitats, as well as a strong desire to nurture and grow partnerships with other entities in order to accomplish significant and meaningful bird conservation work in the Intermountain West.

IWJV’s Management Board is a policy-making body that establishes priorities and direction for all aspects of Joint Venture activities. Board members serve specified term limits, meet four times per year and receive no compensation for their services. At its core, the Management Board is committed to achieving the IWJV’s goals of sound science, adequate funding, proper staffing, good planning, project development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, accountability and reliance on strong partnerships to accomplish its vitally important work. To ensure success, the Management Board hires and supervises the JV Coordinator who, in turn, hires and supervises subordinate staff and contractors, as well as oversees the day-to-day operation of the Joint Venture.
