About EMILY
Emily joined the IWJV team in 2020 as the Water 4 Communications Specialist. Her current role as the Communications & Capacity specialist involves supporting the IWJV’s field delivery capacity positions, and supporting the IWJV’s Water and Wetlands and Forestry programs with communications. Emily is fascinated by connections and how information, communication, and storytelling can influence human-to-human and human-to-landscape relationships. Her years as a guide in Northwestern Montana left her with a desire to learn more about land use and conservation from other perspectives, sending her back to school to earn a Master’s in Environmental Management (MEM) in Integrated and Public Land Management from Western Colorado University in 2020. She also holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Montana. In her free time, she is outside with her husband and dogs exploring the mountains and sagebrush around their home in Polaris, Montana.
