Adam Beh is the Stewardship Director at Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, a non-profit and non-governmental organization, which conserves birds and their habitats through an integrated approach of science, education and land stewardship. In this position, Adam provides leadership and strategic planning for a diverse and expansive bird conservation program that leverages public-private partnerships and Farm Bill funding mechanisms for realizing shared conservation and rural development goals. For the IWJV, he supervises the work of private lands wildlife biologists with state and federal agencies and numerous other organizations in western Colorado (Steamboat Springs, Montrose, Durango, Woodland Park). Adam employs participatory action research in his work and is always searching for new and innovative ways to integrate local, traditional, and scientific knowledge in land use decision-making.
