Brian Jensen, State Biologist
Natural Resources Conservation Service
Brian Jensen is the State Biologist for the Wyoming Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), based in Casper, Wyoming. He grew up in Nebraska, which taught him an appreciation for agriculture and private landowners. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Kearney before acquiring his Master’s degree through the University of Wyoming, studying sage grouse. He spent five years working as a Habitat Extension Biologist for the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and NRCS prior to his current position. He’s always had a passion for birds, particularly lekking birds and waterfowl, but truly works on all species with his current position. He’s married with two young children and enjoys traveling, sports, and most any outdoor activity, especially waterfowl hunting. He looks forward to working with diverse partners to identify ways to make Wyoming an even better place for wildlife.
