Clen Atchley

Clen Atchley, Idaho Farmer and Rancher

Clen is a third generation farmer/rancher from Ashton, Idaho. He grows seed potatoes, wheat, hybrid canola, hay as well as beef cattle. His wife, Emma, owns and operates the greenhouse production of the first generation of the seed potatoes and is currently President of the Idaho State Board of Education. They have completed two conservation easements on their property. Clen serves on the Board of Directors of the National Potato Council, several water boards, and is past president of the Teton Regional Land Trust.

The Atchleys have two daughters. Laura is currently taking over the seed potato operation and her husband, Clay, has taken over and expanded the cattle operation. Their other daughter, Evelyn, is a graphic designer.
