Tony Wasley, Director, Nevada Department of Wildlife
Tony Wasley was appointed in 2013 as the eighth Director of the Nevada Department of Wildlife. Prior to his appointment as Director, Tony fulfilled a number of roles for the Nevada Department of Wildlife, including most recently as Wildlife Staff Specialist for Mule Deer in the Game Division and Game Division Area Biologist.
Throughout his career Tony has been dedicated to sharing knowledge with others through teaching and research. He has conducted or assisted with scientific research in Nevada, Alaska, California, Idaho, Wyoming, Minnesota, Kansas and Arizona. Wasley earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biological Sciences and Wildlife Management from California State University, Chico where he graduated in 1992. He went on to receive his Masters of Science degree from Idaho State University in Biology. He currently resides in Reno, Nevada and remains an avid outdoor enthusiast.
