Conservation Easement Funding Available in SONEC
The Intermountain West Joint Venture has secured $1.6 million in Agricultural Conservation Easement Program-Agricultural Land Easements funding from the Natural Resources Conservation Service through the Regional Conservation Partnership Program project entitled, Southern Oregon and Northeastern California (SONEC) Working Wet Meadows Initiative. The IWJV is requesting letters of interest for conservation easements on working wet meadows in SONEC that will protect private farms and ranches containing flood-irrigated and/or wet meadow hay and pasture lands that provide vital waterfowl habitat. Additional assistance in securing non-federal easement match funding will be available for selected projects. Applicants must submit a letter of interest in this project by June 29, 2018.
Please read the attached Request for Letters of Interest for a detailed description of this funding opportunity.
