USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service, Partners for Conservation and Landowners Gather in Denver

Landowners from landscapes as different as Utah and Rhode Island, along with USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) staff from across the Working Lands for Wildlife (WLFW) partnership gathered in Denver in early May . The forum was designed to let landowners share their input on the WLFW approach.  Over a day and a half the participants discussed what was working, what could be working better and what might be missing from this relatively recent agency approach to collaborative conservation. Post-forum surveys indicate that the vast majority of the participants felt the session was a good use of their time.  The session was co-hosted by Partners for Conservation and NRCS Working Lands for Wildlife with additional support from the Intermountain West Joint Venture. A report on the forum is in preparation and will be posted in this newsletter very soon, stay tuned!
