Welcoming New Staff Members

 Let's give a big welcome to two new staff members. Introducing Jim Stutzman, Habitat Delivery Specialist, and Brian McDonald, Agreements & Grants Specialist.

Jim recently joined the IWJV Team as a Habitat Delivery Specialist. Prior to embarking on this new challenge, he spent 35 years working for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He was the State Coordinator for the Montana Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program from 1987 to 2012. Over the past 25 years, MT PFW worked cooperatively with over 700 private landowners to deliver upland and aquatic habitat restoration projects in key conservation focus areas across Montana. Professionally, Jim is passionate about community-based, strategic habitat conservation delivery. Personally, he enjoys family, bird hunting, fly-fishing, guitar picking and college sports. He holds a B.S in Wildlife Management and a M.S. in Outdoor Education from the University of Minnesota. Jim and his wife Karen live in Great Falls, Montana.

Brian was born and raised in Helena, Montana. He moved to Missoula to attend the University of Montana where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Resource Conservation. After graduating, Brian served as a field crew member with the Montana Conservation Corps. He worked for the Blackfoot Challenge as a Program Coordinator for nine years before joining the Intermountain West Joint Venture in January 2013. Brian is very excited about the new experiences and challenges that lie ahead. When he is not working, Brian enjoys hiking, camping, and biking with his wife and daughter.
