About ALAN
Alan is a third generation Nevadan who has had the pleasure of growing up across Nevada’s rural communities and experiencing the associated wildland wonders. Alan obtained his bachelor’s in wildlife management from the University of Idaho before beginning his career with the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) in 1993. During Alan’s NDOW tenure, he has spent over ten years as a field biologist working on native trout recovery and riparian health. He then moved over to habitat management and eventually advanced to the Habitat Division Administrator in 2013. Prior to joining the ranks of the IWJV Management Board, Alan served as an IWJV Nevada State Conservation Partnership Co-Chair since 2014.
