About the Burns Local Implementation Team Coordinator
This position was established to lead the Local Implementation Team in Harney County, to engage and collaborate with numerous local groups, and to continue partnerships with Harney County Wildfire Collaborative with High Desert Partnership. This position helps partners across diverse interests and ownership boundaries identify shared priorities in rangeland management, and to overcome barriers to successful collaborative land stewardship. This position brings resources to LIT participants, such as technical transfer and communications tools, and engages stakeholders in an integrated approach to implement state and federal conservation strategies. Additionally, they work with members of the LIT to manage spatial prioritization of restoration treatment areas based on survey data and local input.
