Riley Peck

Director, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources

Riley Peck is the Director of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, bringing nearly two decades of experience in wildlife management and conservation. He began his career with Utah DWR in 2006 and has held a variety of roles, including wildlife biologist, Central Region wildlife manager, and once-in-a-lifetime species coordinator. Most recently, he served as the legislative liaison for the division, and was named the 2024 Utah Department of Natural Resources Employee of the Year. Riley holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Utah and a master’s degree in plant and wildlife science from Brigham Young University. A lifelong outdoorsman, he is passionate about hunting, fishing, and camping with his family and is committed to advancing data-driven wildlife management in Utah.
