In southwest Montana, keeping sagebrush rangeland habitat healthy and wildfire fuels at safe levels is a team effort. The work goes farther than treating for flammable invasive annual grasses like cheatgrass: A whole partnership of multiple organizations and agencies is dedicated to monitoring this habitat and coordinating restoration at a landscape scale.

The Intermountain West Joint Venture is proud to support positions like Emma’s across the West through our partnership with the Bureau of Land Management, and collaboration with partners like the Southwest Montana Sagebrush Partnership, The Nature Conservancy, the Beaverhead Conservation District, and many many more.
